ten plus one is eleven

cut out the tenth and eleventh rows last night...left them on the table...no elves came and made them so i thought i better get busy

row 10 is houses...very cute

a whole little neighborhood

then onward to the spools

my work is so hairy scary ...looking forward to sewing it together so all those hairies are gone

rows 10 and 11...check....one to go

just to be clear...you guys are about to be 'lapped' on this project...by someone who works 12 hour days :)

look at the clock...it is 7 to 9

some more rows done...
row 7 is sweet little leaves

they turned out to be one of the most complicated blocks

looking very cute all together

one good row deserves another...
row 8 - mittens

warm and cozy and cute...
they did require me to piece parts and if you look close, one block is totally messed up due to me running completely out of the fabric

and number nine
so starry, starry nighty

a very clever way to make them and I could actually use the
shortcuts this time as they were small pieces

only 3 more rows to go

row 10 is little houses - looking forward to seeing them in my fabrics

people...

well i have waited as long as humanly possible..giving you all the chance to save some face..hoping you might post a row or two..come on peeps

so, in the meantime, i have a few more row .. row 4

this is the apple row and i actually made it first..surprising that i thought the apples were so cute..being a teacher you don't want anyone knowing you think apples are cute less you plan on ending up with a collection o, apples

got hungry whilst sewing..lol

4 rows
but why stop

is that geese i hear flying south?

this row was haaaaaard.d .. there were great instructions on the website for doing these an easier way but alas I haven't enough fabric to do that so I had to do 3 inch flying geese the hard (regular) way

you can see the copiousness of the strings..ack...

still row 5..d.o.n.e

feeling excited about how it looks..it is sorta too sweet for me

again, i said, self, why not do more..

so, i did..

row 6 - cup o' joe

this took HUGE hunks of fabric and i ended up having to piece some of the pieces together..my 10" squares are shrinking

when i first typed 10", i typed 10' - wouldn't it be wild to have a 10 foot square of your favorite fabric that you could take hunks off of..kinda like that big candy bar you hide and every now and then you find it and take a big chomp chomp...yum

me and my two club members are gonna share some java

row 6..done

guess i better figure out some sashing soon..and you all better get sewing!

a 1, and a 2, and a 3

i started out doing the apples..cuz they were so cute ..which is weird as i don't like apples..being a teacher you just can't show folk that you like the apple..otherwise you gonna get a whole lotta apple shit (mom ignore the swearing)..i can't do the blocks in order or the way the wonderful tutorials show becasue i bought 10 inch squares of my fabric..won't do that again

this is row now that i have gathered enough scraps from other larger cuts to make 100 little squares..

i was wondering when i got here where you guys' posts were?? did they get deleted

should i clip the threads..or are they holding the whole dealio together?

once row 1 was done...i started on row 2 ..butterflies...thinking of putting antlers on them ...what do you think?

at this point i am already sick of sewing on squares on the diagonal to make corners..better buck up...there are alot..A LOT

oh look more strings..adds to stability..

row 1 and 2 united...at least on the rug..haven't enough of my background for sashing..will cross that bridge when i get there

not to be detered...onward to row 3 - chevrons..more of those damn squares sewn on the diagonal

cue lawrence welk...a 1 and a 2 and a 3

so...when will i see your creations people?
